- In July 2004, a woman named Nieto disappeared in Albuquerque, New Mexico. Nearly five years later, in February 2009, her bones were found at a construction site in Albuquerque’s West Mesa area. Sadly, many other women’s bodies were found there too. Police are still trying to figure out who killed all these women (the “West Mesa murders”).
