- On October 23, 2019, a man named Winfrey and a woman named Kayla Rodriguez took off from Novato, California in Winfrey’s small red and white airplane. They were going to Mendocino County, but the plane vanished.
Cell phone records show Rodriguez tried to use her phone around 9:15 pm. Radar last saw the plane at 9:23 pm, five miles off the coast. After that, it disappeared.
A big search lasted two weeks, but no one found the plane or the two people. Rodriguez was a nurse, and Winfrey was her landlord and a businessman who’d recently become a mortician. They both lived in San Francisco, and the police there are trying to figure out what happened. They believe both are dead, but their bodies haven’t been found.
