- Details of Disappearance:
- On November 13, 2013, experienced surfer Passmore disappeared while surfing at a dangerous spot called “The Leftovers” in Haleiwa, Hawaii. The waves were huge (25-35 feet high!), and there was a warning in place. He fell off a 20-foot wave and went underwater; he may have injured his ear, making it hard to stay balanced. Rescuers searched right away, but couldn’t find him. His surfboard washed ashore, but his body was never found. Police think he drowned.
