Details of Disappearance:
On Sunday, August 25, 1968, Arensen vanished. She was last seen at Hillcrest Christian Church in Los Angeles around 7:30 a.m. She’d gone to the church to work on a church bulletin, something she usually did on Thursdays and Fridays, not Sundays.

Later that morning, at 9:15 a.m., her car was found parked outside the church. Her keys were inside the church office, her glasses were on the floor, and the typewriter was still on. Importantly, her purse was gone, and there were no signs of a fight. Since she needed her glasses to see, this is very strange.

Arensen’s bank account hasn’t been touched since she disappeared, but her passport was left at home. She’d only been married for two months and lived with her husband, who worked at the church as a youth minister.

Her father thought someone might have followed her to the church and attacked her. But despite the mystery, no one was ever identified as a suspect, and the case remains unsolved.
