- On May 10, 1989, a woman named Nussbaumer disappeared. She was last seen walking near a road (County Road 244) about ten miles north of Grand Rapids, Minnesota, at 3:30 in the afternoon. She and her husband were at their cabin on Crooked Lake, a very wooded and swampy area. Police searched the area thoroughly but only found her sweatshirt a few miles from the cabin. No one has ever heard from her since, and there isn’t much information about what happened.
