Details of Disappearance:
On November 4, 1983, a man named Major left an airport in Vicksburg, Mississippi, after refueling his small blue and white airplane. He’d gone to Vicksburg to get parts for his farm equipment. People saw him and said he looked unwell. He took off around 10:30 or 11:00 a.m. Some kids and their teacher saw his plane flying over their school as they went inside to escape the rain. Major was flying home to Kilbourne, Louisiana, but he never arrived. His plane was never found, even after a big, two-week search.

Major was a successful man: he graduated high school and went to college, he was a former mayor of Kilbourne, he farmed, co-owned a hardware store, and served on a bank’s board. Louisiana police are trying to figure out what happened to him.
