Details of Disappearance:
Donald and his friend Brenda disappeared in August 1956 while biking near Glendora Mountain Road. A few days later, some of their belongings were found nearby, but the kids were gone. Police initially thought they ran away, but things changed.

A man named Mack Ray Edwards confessed to killing several children in 1970, including Donald and Brenda. He even told police where he buried them, but their bodies were never found. Edwards, who was Brenda’s brother-in-law and Donald’s neighbor, died by suicide in prison in 1971.

Police suspect Edwards was responsible for other missing children in the area. Because Edwards worked building highways, investigators think he might have buried the children’s bodies under the roads he helped build. Donald’s case was reopened in 2007 to search for the missing children.
