- Details of Disappearance:
- On April 5th, 1991 (or possibly April 6th, depending on the source), a woman named Harris disappeared in Chesterfield County, Virginia. She dropped her son off at her mom’s house around 11:00 a.m. and rushed off to run errands at a nearby mall, promising to be back by 3:00 p.m. She never returned.
Her silver 1984 Honda Prelude (license plate TJL368) was found abandoned and locked near the mall around 1:00 p.m., with its hazard lights flashing. The car was fine, but her purse was missing. There were no signs of a struggle.
Although there were some unconfirmed sightings of Harris after her disappearance, she’s never been found. Her family suspects foul play. Police had a prime suspect, a male acquaintance she secretly dated, but haven’t publicly named or charged him.
Harris was a responsible, dedicated mother and employee of Virginia Power who didn’t smoke, drink, or use drugs. She lived on Remora Drive and enjoyed shopping and aerobics.
