- On September 7, 1970, Susan Freeman disappeared. She left her Missoula, Montana apartment around 9:30 pm to drive to her teaching job in Hamilton (a 50-mile trip), but she never made it. Her green and white 1960 Ford Fairlane (license plate 31-315) is also missing.
No one has heard from her since. It seems unlikely she ran away; she left money in the bank and food in storage. Her family says she was a responsible and religious person who wouldn’t just vanish without telling anyone. She had recently divorced (1969) and her ex-husband was in the Air Force in Thailand. She was a student at the University of Montana.
The mystery of what happened to Susan Freeman remains unsolved.
