- Details of Disappearance:
- Edwin disappeared in Keller, Washington on April 14, 1991. He was seen with a woman and three men. His family wasn’t immediately worried because he sometimes disappeared for a few days. However, his sister reported him missing weeks later.
Edwin had a criminal record and used drugs, so his family suspected foul play from the start. His cousin, James Gallaher Jr., was charged with his murder in 2005. Gallaher, who also had a long criminal history, admitted in court in 2007 that he killed Edwin. He said Edwin accidentally urinated on his baby daughter, and he reacted by punching Edwin, breaking his neck. Gallaher claimed it was an accident.
In 2009, Gallaher pleaded guilty to involuntary manslaughter (unintentional killing) and was sentenced to six years in prison. Edwin’s body was never found.
Interestingly, Edwin’s brother George also disappeared in 1988, but police don’t think the two cases are related.
