Details of Disappearance:
Edyth and her son, Nicholas, vanished from their New Mexico home on February 23, 1991. Edyth was a college art student, and she and her husband, Henry, were getting a divorce.

On February 21st, Edyth went to class, but never returned. Nicholas didn’t go to school the next day. Henry claims Edyth said they were staying with a friend, but reported them missing a few days later. Police initially hesitated because Edyth was an adult and Nicholas was under her care.

The case was initially treated as a possible runaway situation, but years later, police suspected foul play. Henry said Edyth took a significant amount of cash and valuables before disappearing. A witness saw Edyth packing boxes into her car before she vanished, but their contents remain unknown. Nicholas was supposed to visit his father in Texas, but never did. There’s been no contact or activity from either Edyth or Nicholas since 1991.

Edyth’s family was estranged from Henry, who moved away with his son after Edyth and Nicholas disappeared and later divorced her. The case remains a mystery, with no arrests or suspects. The fact that Edyth was a devoted mother and Nicholas had a good relationship with his father makes their disappearance even more puzzling.
