- On September 6, 1977, baby Elizabeth and her mom, Diane, vanished from their San Jose, California home. A neighbor saw them earlier that day; everything seemed fine. Then, they disappeared, leaving behind everything – their car, belongings, even Diane’s glasses. The only unusual thing was that the TV cord had been cut. There were no signs of a fight or a robbery, and no ransom note. Police thought someone might have taken them to sell Elizabeth for adoption. Sadly, Diane’s body was found in 1981, but Elizabeth is still missing. Not much is known about what happened.
