- Details of Disappearance:
- On July 26, 1992, Veloz, a nail technician, went to a bar called Jacko’s in Chicago with friends. She left with a man who liked her and his friends, going to another bar and then back to Jacko’s. There was a fight at Jacko’s involving the men she was with, and she left with them afterward. They said they dropped her off in East Chicago, Indiana, early the next morning. One of the men called Veloz’s mom at 3:00 AM to check if she’d gotten home, but Veloz never did. She lived in Chicago with her autistic son. She also had two daughters living in Mexico who didn’t know she was missing until 1995. Veloz hasn’t used her bank accounts or social security number since 1992. Police think she might have been taken to Hammond or Whiting, Indiana. The case is unsolved, and she’s presumed dead.
