Details of Disappearance:
On September 16, 2004, Rountree disappeared. He was last seen leaving Perimeter Mall in Atlanta, Georgia, possibly carrying a briefcase. He was driving to one of his title pawn shops in Newnan, Georgia, but never arrived. His dark blue 1998 Pontiac Bonneville (license plate APB 7793) is also gone.

This was unusual for him; he owned five title pawn shops and wouldn’t normally just vanish without a word. His family says he wouldn’t abandon his businesses. His credit cards haven’t been used, and his passport is still at home. His last phone call was near a phone tower in Gwinnett County.

Because the police weren’t very helpful, his family hired a private investigator. They suspect foul play connected to his business, as he’d received threats in the past. But there’s no proof. His disappearance remains a mystery.
