- Details of Disappearance:
- On May 15, 1988, Mr. Deshotel left his home on South River Road near Oberlin, Louisiana, to pick huckleberries. He went to a nearby area called the West Bay Game Management Area, about 2.5 miles away. He took a white bucket, a jug of water, and a yellow knife, but no ID. He was expected back, but never returned. His car was found where he’d parked to go berry-picking, but nobody knows what happened to him. It’s a mystery.
