- A man named Quarles vanished from Pendleton, South Carolina in April 2015. Four years later, in January 2019, Kerry Eugene Cobb was accused of killing him. Then, in April 2023, Cobb showed the police where he’d buried Quarles’s body – a shallow grave near Hiawassee Drive. The remains were confirmed to be Quarles’ in December 2023.
