- On August 9, 2005, Mark Cansler disappeared. He was in Marin County, California, just two days before his 41st birthday. No one has heard from him since.
His car was found abandoned in the middle of the Golden Gate Bridge. His wallet was inside, but he was gone. Shoes believed to be his were found in the bay.
Cansler grew up in North Carolina, went to college in North Carolina and Colorado, and had a good life with hobbies like sailing, photography, and glassblowing. He had two children.
His family thinks he’s dead and even put a notice in the newspaper saying so, but his body has never been found. His disappearance is a mystery.
