- Details of Disappearance:
- Eric and his 15-year-old girlfriend, Martha, disappeared from Daingerfield, Texas on September 6th and 7th, 1990. Police think they ran away.
People said they might have gone to Hayworth, Oklahoma (Eric’s aunt lived there), or Wichita, Kansas (Eric’s mom lived there). But no one’s proven where they went.
On September 30th, someone called Martha’s dad saying they’d seen Eric and Martha in Durant, Oklahoma, hungry and dirty. The police checked, but couldn’t find them.
Both Eric and Martha used drugs. It’s possible drugs were involved in their disappearance, but police don’t think anyone hurt them. They believe the teens left on their own.
The case is still unsolved, and police in both Oklahoma and Kansas are looking into it.
