- Details of Disappearance:
- Eric and Pamela Bealer vanished from their remote Alaskan cabin in September 2018. They went to their cabin on Yakobi Island and were expected back, but never returned.
A note left on their cabin door said they had committed suicide and hidden their bodies, asking people not to search. They left behind instructions for their belongings: their artwork was to go to an art gallery, and the rest to a conservation group.
Pamela had a serious illness (multiple sclerosis), and the couple had previously talked about ending their lives if her health got too bad. Their friends weren’t shocked by their disappearance.
Searches found nothing, and in June 2019, they were declared legally dead.
