- Xiang was swimming in Yellowstone National Park’s Yellowstone River with friends on July 23, 2015. A strong current swept him away. Park workers found some bones nearby in February 2018, but it wasn’t until July 2019 that tests showed the bones were Xiang’s. His family traveled from China to bring him home.
