- Francine and her friend Kerry disappeared in Forestville, California, in 1979. Their bodies were found a few months later in Willits, California. Because Kerry’s remains were badly decomposed and looked like they belonged to a man, the bodies weren’t identified for a long time – until 2015. Police think they were murdered, but they couldn’t figure out exactly how they died.
