- Distinguishing Characteristics Caucasian male. Graying black hair, hazel eyes. Whittiemoore wears eyeglasses for reading. He is missing numerous teeth and the fingertips on his left hand. He has scars on his right eyebrow and upper lip and numerous dark-colored moles and skin tags, including a large mole in his hair. Whittiemoore has previously broken several bones, including his collarbone, ribs and ankle. His nickname is Buddy.
- Details of Disappearance:
- In 2005, Whittiemoore lived on Cherry Street in Stanton, Tennessee. One morning, between 6:00 and 7:30 am on June 19th, he was seen near Charleston Road and Highway 179, about a mile from home. He was carrying a cane, wallet, and two medicine bottles. He’d left a note for his wife saying he was walking the dog. He was going to visit someone in Tipton County, but never arrived. His dog came home a few hours later, but Whittiemoore disappeared.
Police think he might have gotten a ride, but his family suspects something bad happened to him. They say he was a kind and trusting person, easy to take advantage of. The case is still a mystery.
