- Ken Yamamoto disappeared in Bothell, Washington. The last time anyone saw him was September 29, 2009. He lived alone and kept to himself, so nobody noticed he was gone for a while. His apartment manager didn’t report him missing until November.
His car was found in Kirkland on October 10th, but police didn’t connect it to his disappearance until later. Inside the car was an empty bag for a red and gray kayak, leading police to think he might have gone kayaking on Lake Washington. However, his kayak was never found, and this is just a theory.
Before he disappeared, Yamamoto gave his landlord a check for only one month’s rent instead of his usual three months, saying he only had enough money for one month. It’s not clear why.
Yamamoto was from Japan and was a talented photographer and guitarist. His disappearance remains a mystery.
