Distinguishing Characteristics:
Distinguishing Characteristics Caucasian male. Brown hair, brown eyes. Vallese has a tattoo on his right arm of a cross with a heart and the phrase “In Memory of Mom.” His nickname is Guy and some agencies refer to him by that name. At the time of his disappearance, he was balding in the front and his hair was long in the back, and he had a thick mustache.
Details of Disappearance:
Vallese disappeared on May 14, 1979. He was last seen leaving New York City on the Thruway at 8:30 PM. His estranged wife reported him missing because he didn’t pick up their kids. His car was found at his Fishkill home, but he wasn’t there. Nothing was stolen from his house.

Vallese might have been involved in the mob. Police want to talk to someone he knew, Teddy Cohen, but they can’t find him and think “Teddy Cohen” might be a fake name.

Police found no clues of a crime, so it’s possible Vallese disappeared on purpose—maybe he went into hiding, even possibly joining a witness protection program. The mystery remains unsolved.
