- James disappeared from Montgomery, Alabama on November 23, 1998, after a fight with his mom. He had a lot of cash – between $6,000 and $14,000 – given to him by a girlfriend so he could leave town. His car was found abandoned 80 miles away, months later. Police first thought he went to Florida or Mobile to work in construction, but now they believe he was likely murdered. James had a criminal past, including time in prison for burglary. His disappearance is still a mystery.
