- On July 21, 1996, Holmes disappeared. He was last seen in Richland County, South Carolina, leaving Wayde’s Pool Hall around midnight. His rental car (he was using it because his own car was being repaired) was found burned and abandoned the next morning, July 22nd, at 8:30 a.m., on Pickell Hill—just a short distance from his aunt’s home. No one has heard from him since.
