Details of Disappearance:: On June 20, 2007, Melvin was visiting her daughter in Colchester, New York. A sudden, powerful flood swept away their mobile home. Melvin’s daughter was saved, but Melvin couldn’t get to safety. The mobile home broke apart in the flood, and its pieces were later found. Sadly, Melvin’s body was never recovered.
