- On July 4th, 1997, after a fireworks show at Lake Thunderbird near Oklahoma City, a woman named Petersen got into a truck with a man she didn’t know. He was described as a white man, around 40 years old, about 6 feet tall, 180 pounds, with brown hair and a mustache. They were last seen in his dark-colored Chevy pickup truck (possibly a 1990 or 1991 model) on Highway 9. Petersen vanished and hasn’t been seen or heard from since. There aren’t many clues in her case, and the Norman, Oklahoma police are still trying to figure out what happened.
