- Tankersley disappeared on December 5, 2002, at noon in St. Francisville, Louisiana. He’s never been found. Police first thought he got lost, but now they suspect something bad happened.
Derrick Todd Lee, a serial killer known as the “Baton Rouge Serial Killer,” is a person of interest. Tankersley and Lee knew each other, and Lee sometimes gave Tankersley rides. However, Lee’s known victims were all women. While Lee was charged with killing one woman and is a suspect in the deaths of others, he hasn’t been charged with anything related to Tankersley’s disappearance, which remains a mystery.
