Distinguishing Characteristics Caucasian male. Brown hair, green eyes. Kays has a small circular birthmark on the upper right side of his face. He has his name “Harvey” tattooed on his upper right arm and the name “Gerry” or “Jerry” tattooed on his upper left arm. Kays wears eyeglasses and he had a beard at the time of his 1988 disappearance.
Details of Disappearance:
Kays disappeared from his home on Rocky Branch Road in Franklin County, Kentucky on December 12, 1988. He left a short note saying he had to go, and his Ford pickup truck and Winnebago camper van were gone too. Nobody has seen or heard from him since. It wasn’t until January 3, 1989, that he was reported missing. Police think he was murdered, but there’s not much information about what happened.
