- Distinguishing Characteristics Caucasian female. Brown hair, green eyes. Teague has a circular red birthmark on her right buttock. She has fallen arches, or flat feet.
- Details of Disappearance:
- On August 26, 1995, Teague vanished from Newburgh Beach in Kentucky. A witness saw a tall (6 feet), heavy (210-230 pounds) man with brown hair and a beard abduct her at gunpoint. He was oddly dressed in jeans, a wig, a mosquito net, and no shirt.
Police found part of Teague’s swimsuit near where she was taken. They also found a man, Marvin Dill, driving a car matching the description of one seen at the beach. Dill’s truck contained a hair that may be Teague’s, weapons, restraints, and bloodstains. He strongly resembled the description of the abductor and then committed suicide after police investigated him. His wife refused to testify.
Another suspect, Christopher Below, had a history of violence against women and was in the area when Teague disappeared. He left Kentucky the same day Dill died. Both men knew Teague and had things in common. Although the eyewitness identified Dill, police suspect Below may have been involved, possibly as the getaway driver. There wasn’t enough evidence to charge Below.
In 2013, Teague’s mother sued law enforcement, claiming they focused on the wrong suspect and missed important clues. The case remains unsolved, and foul play is suspected.
