- Details of Disappearance:
- On Halloween morning, 2004, a woman named Klett disappeared from Hollywood, Florida. She was with her boyfriend, Morgan Bolanos, the father of three of her five children. Their relationship was abusive; Bolanos had a history of violence against Klett, including a guilty plea for attacking her while she was pregnant. Even while under house arrest for assaulting her in June 2004 (an attack so severe she was hospitalized for ten days), Bolanos broke his monitoring bracelet to see Klett.
Although Klett initially claimed he’d attacked her, she later changed her story. The night she vanished, Klett went out with Bolanos and a friend, but they argued. This was the last time anyone saw Klett. Bolanos disappeared the next day, but was arrested ten days later in Orlando. He denied knowing anything about Klett’s disappearance and was only jailed for violating his house arrest.
Police strongly suspect foul play and consider Bolanos the main suspect, but Klett’s disappearance remains unsolved. At the time, she worked nights as a waitress.
