- Kelly disappeared from her home in Sioux City, Iowa on May 18, 2005. Her husband woke up to find her gone, sometime between 7 and 8 a.m. He wasn’t worried at first, but when she didn’t come back for lunch, he called the police at 3 p.m.
Kelly left behind her purse and everything else she owned. She hadn’t said she was going anywhere. Her gold 2000 Honda Accord (license plate 953EDK) was also missing. She vanished just two weeks before her 58th wedding anniversary.
Her husband died in 2009. His obituary said his wife had died before him. They had two children.
A new family lives in Kelly’s old house now. Their young son says he saw a “ghost grandma” in the crawl space, but no adults have seen anything.
Kelly was born in Sioux City and was the youngest of ten children. Even though she’s been legally declared dead, the police still don’t know what happened to her.
