- Details of Disappearance:
- An Austrian man named Altmann came to Los Angeles in October 1984 to buy property. He stayed at a fancy hotel in Beverly Hills. He planned to leave on October 31st and go back to Austria on November 2nd. The last time anyone saw him was October 30th, when he was in his hotel room. He was going sightseeing in Big Sur that day, driving a white 1984 Chevrolet Camaro (license plate 1JDK196) he’d rented. The car is gone and hasn’t been found. His wife reported him missing on November 6th. His hotel room was untouched – his passport, clothes, money, and plane ticket were all still there. He’s never been seen or heard from since, and police think something bad happened to him.
