- McWaters was last seen at a Super Bowl party in Florida on October 21, 2005. She went to another party and said she’d be back to babysit, but she never returned. Her family tried contacting her, and only got a message saying her car broke down. That was the last they heard from her.
Police saw her in Crestview, Florida in July 2006, but let her go. Since then, she’s disappeared completely – no arrests, no credit card use, nothing.
Before she vanished, McWaters was struggling with depression, alcohol, and drugs after a divorce and the death of her son. She’d been arrested several times. Her father, who later died, didn’t report her missing until 2009 because he thought she was in jail. Her mother is still alive but unwell.
No one knows exactly what happened to McWaters, but her family still hopes she’ll be found.
