Details of Disappearance:
Cabinaw vanished on March 31, 2010, from Traverse City, Michigan. After playing frisbee golf, he dropped off a friend and refused an invitation to go out, saying he needed to study. He drove away in his silver 2002 Chevy Malibu (Michigan plate BKQ 4107, damaged passenger side).

He never made it home. He called his college to confirm his enrollment early April 1st, then bought gas in Michigan. His car was spotted in Missouri and Arkansas on April 2nd, with Cabinaw asleep inside. Later that day, his debit card was used for gas in Sweetwater, Texas (over 1,000 miles away!), and he was caught on camera. This is the last known sighting. His car is also gone.

He had a brother in Texas, but otherwise no strong ties to the state. He used his debit card even though he had no money; it was covered by overdraft protection. The card was never used again, and his phone remains untouched.

Police thought he might have run away to Texas or Mexico, but his family believes he wouldn’t abandon his life: his college studies, his National Guard service, his job, and his two sons. He owned expensive tools and didn’t do drugs. His disappearance is out of character.

While police suspect he left voluntarily, his family fears for his safety. The case remains a mystery.
