Details of Disappearance:
Landry disappeared in Lafayette, Louisiana on May 23, 2017. She went to a party but never arrived. Her phone was turned off, and this was unusual for her.

Police arrested Malik Davis, who had a criminal record, and charged him with Landry’s murder. But later, in a deal, he pleaded guilty to hiding evidence (obstruction of justice) and got 10 years in prison. The murder charge was dropped.

Two of Davis’s roommates, Devan Dufour and Matthew Perez, were also charged with hiding evidence. They could get 40 years in prison.

According to Davis, he and Landry used meth. At his house, Dufour gave Landry heroin, which caused her to die. Instead of calling for help, the three men hid the drugs, wrapped Landry’s body, and threw it in the trash. The trash was taken to a landfill, but Landry’s body was never found.

Because of all this, police believe foul play was involved in Landry’s death. Dufour and Perez are still waiting for their trial.
