Details of Disappearance:
Two men, Johnson and his friend Patrick DiFrancesco, vanished from Fort Pierce, Florida in August 1985. They were supposedly going on a quick trip in a small plane to pick up marijuana in the Caribbean. Neither man was ever seen again, and the plane was never found.

There’s a rumor DiFrancesco was later seen in a Jamaican jail, but it’s unconfirmed. The plane they used belonged to a man named Howard Crouch, who used a wheelchair. DiFrancesco secretly worked flying cocaine for Crouch. Crouch was later convicted of drug trafficking, but never connected to the disappearance of Johnson and DiFrancesco. Interestingly, the plane took off from the same airstrip where Crouch had arranged a large cocaine drop the year before.

DiFrancesco’s brother suspects they were murdered and buried near Fort Pierce, not that they ever actually left. To this day, the mystery remains unsolved.
