- Details of Disappearance:
- One day in 1999, a man named Adkins went fishing on the Ohio River in Huntington, West Virginia, with his brother. Their boat sank because the engine failed. His brother was saved, but Adkins vanished.
Police wondered if Adkins faked his death to avoid paying child support, as he owed a small amount of money. However, his family didn’t believe he would do that.
Searches of the river found no sign of Adkins. Nobody knows for sure what happened to him. The case is still being investigated, and even Texas police are helping.
