Details of Disappearance:
Jeanne, who lived on a farm near Knox, New York, was having marital problems with her husband, John Scrima, by February 1980. She was having an affair with John Sidney, a General Electric designer.

In March 1980, Jeanne and Sidney went to Erie, Pennsylvania for a trip. Jeanne told her husband she was visiting family. She found out her husband knew about the affair, and she returned to New York alone on March 19th, driving her light blue Lincoln Continental. She arrived home, but then vanished.

Her husband, John, didn’t report her missing. It wasn’t until May 4th, 1980, that her lawyer filed a missing person’s report. Sidney cooperated with the police and was cleared. John, however, refused to cooperate and moved away.

Jeanne’s car turned up in Michigan, having changed hands several times. Police suspected foul play, and wanted to question John further, but were unable to. Jeanne’s disappearance remains a mystery.
