- Howard went missing in Thousand Oaks, California on December 21, 2006. Nearly two and a half years later, in March 2009, his remains were found in his car at the bottom of a cliff in Zuma Canyon. The car had fallen about 800 feet. Police don’t think anyone did anything to cause his death. It was likely an accident.
