Details of Disappearance:: Mattes disappeared from a home for people with mental health issues in Brooklyn, New York on March 3, 2011. She had $75 with her. She’d run away before, taking buses to cities like St. Louis, Chicago, or Omaha, and her parents always helped her get back to New York within a week. But this time, she’s been gone much longer, and no one knows what happened to her. The police haven’t solved the mystery of her disappearance.
