- Jennifer disappeared from her home in Marathon, Florida on July 30, 1993, after a fight with her mom about curfew. While some say she ran away often, her mom says she never had before. Jennifer sometimes left home after arguments, but always went to her sister’s nearby house. Her mom thinks that’s where she was going the night she vanished, but she never arrived.
Jennifer was a teenager going through a tough time, and had even attended a camp for at-risk kids. She once accused her mother of abuse, but later admitted she lied because she was mad about not being allowed to go to a dance without a chaperone.
Police think Jennifer left on her own, but it’s very strange for a teenager to disappear completely and never be found. Her mom believes something bad happened to her, maybe even human trafficking, and that she didn’t run away intentionally. The case is still a mystery.
