This was the first time he’d been allowed to play alone outside. Search dogs followed his scent to the river, leading police to believe he fell in and drowned. Despite a big search, his body was never found. His family held a memorial service for him and his mother later wrote a book about it called “In Search of Jeremy: A Mother’s Story.”
