- John Whaley vanished without a trace. The last time anyone saw him was on November 2nd, 2007, at his fiancée’s house in Sullivan, Missouri.
He’d been staying at the Stanton Motel in Stanton, Missouri, and left some of his things there – like his checkbook.
Then, on November 19th, his black Ford Escape (Missouri plates 516-RR7) was discovered abandoned in Meramec State Park. It was hidden – parked down a power line road, out of sight. His wallet and ID were in the truck, but he wasn’t.
No one knows what happened to him. The case is still a mystery.
