- On July 12, 1983, a pilot named Markham took off from Palm Beach, Florida, heading to Atlanta, Georgia. He never arrived. He disappeared completely and hasn’t been seen or heard from since.
Markham had a risky past. He was a pilot for the CIA for ten years (1965-1975) and then worked as a freelance pilot after that. His wife said he was a thrill-seeker who’d fly anyone, anywhere, for the right price.
Police think something bad happened to him, but they haven’t been able to solve the mystery of his disappearance.
