- Details of Disappearance:
- Jessie Foster, from Canada, was last heard from on March 28, 2006, by her family. She lived in North Las Vegas with her boyfriend, Peter Todd. Todd said she left for a dentist appointment on April 3rd and never returned, leaving behind almost all her belongings. This was unusual, and her family worried.
They later learned Jessie had been involved in sex trafficking. A man she knew from Canada, Donald Vaz, took her to New Jersey and then Las Vegas, promising a short trip. She ended up staying and working in prostitution, something her family didn’t know about. She told her family she was engaged to Todd.
Todd was actually her pimp. He beat her, breaking her jaw, and she was arrested for prostitution in 2005. Even co-workers noticed her injuries. Jessie did visit her family for Christmas 2005 but unexpectedly flew back to Las Vegas the same day.
Just before she disappeared, Jessie told her sister she wanted to leave Todd. He denies any involvement in her disappearance.
Jessie had planned to attend her sister’s wedding and had $20,000 saved for university. She hasn’t used her bank accounts or phone since March 28th. Police in both Canada and the US are investigating. Her family is very worried about her safety.
