- Joanna went missing in Lubbock, Texas on May 4, 2004. Two years later, in October 2006, her body was found in a nearby landfill after police searched for it for two months. A man admitted to killing her and showed police where he left her body. Even though a confession exists, the case is still being investigated, and no one has been officially charged with her murder yet.
