Details of Disappearance:
On December 18, 1998, South disappeared from Mountain City, Tennessee. His family went to help him decorate for Christmas, but his car was gone and his house empty. The doors were unlocked, and the stove was cold, meaning he’d likely left in a hurry.

He’d been to work that day, then home, where he left his tools. He was seen at a local bar in his white Subaru Justy hatchback (1985 or 1989 model) with a broken left taillight and Tennessee plates 292-EJW. No one knows when he left the bar, and he never made it home.

His car was never found, and he’s never been heard from since. Police think something bad happened to him, and his case is still unsolved. South was a Vietnam veteran.
