- Details of Disappearance:
- On April 9, 1985, in Louisiana, a married geology student named Mestayer disappeared. He was playing fetch with his dog near the Mississippi River. The dog got caught in the strong river current near a barge. Mestayer went in to save his dog, but the current pulled him under the barge. He was never seen again. Although everyone believes he drowned, his body was never recovered.
